INTERMUSIC ADDS LAKEWOOD GUITAR TO ITS PORTFOLIO

Intermusic is to extend its guitar range with the addition of one of the world’s most respected guitar brands, Lakewood.

Made by hand in Germany and played by top musicians including Thom Yorke of Radiohead, the Lakewood guitar has long been recognised as a real force in the acoustic market. The company founder, Martin Seeliger, is incredibly passionate about his guitars and their ability to inspire. He says, ‘Your guitar becomes the vehicle of your inspiration, and an extension of your soul. It's that elusive element that is the difference between a mass produced, machine-made guitar, and a hand-made instrument that takes on the soul of its creator, and eventually its owner.’

The range is broad starting with the D-M acoustic at £755 and rising to the D-54 acoustic at £2995. There’s also the option to have a custom made instrument with every single part and all materials chosen by the customer. Intermusic plans to have sample models available within a few weeks and is showing them officially at the BMF in July.

Oli Webb of Intermusic says, ‘I’m really proud that we were recognised by Lakewood as the distributor they want to work with. Over the past couple of years we’ve made great strides in the guitar market and, with the Shine electric brand, are selling into many of the UK’s guitar shops. The Lakewood guitar gives our existing customers more choice and provides us with another opportunity to strike up conversations with potential new customers.’
